Case Tables

Case Tables adds a Case Tables section to Designer. You use it to create custom database tables, organize them into domains, and publish schema changes through job plans.

Case Tables relies on backend services to apply schema changes. This guide covers the pages users see inside BPM; it does not describe the backend services.

Pages

Page Use it for
Domains Group related tables and review bulk publishes
Tables Find tables and manage their lifecycle
Table schema Design columns, indexes, and foreign keys
Table data View and edit rows
Import and export Move tables and data between workspaces
Jobs Review, approve, execute, cancel, or retry job plans
ER diagram Visualize a domain and its tables

Case Tables uses granular permissions. Your administrator assigns them in Admin → Users → Roles.

Table lifecycle

Status Meaning
Draft Schema is editable and not published
Syncing A published change is being applied
Active The table exists and can hold data
Pending Sync A change is waiting to be applied
In Plan The change is part of a job plan
Error The last change failed; edit or retry
Deleted The table was removed

Publishing a schema change creates a job plan. The plan can require approval and is executed asynchronously. See Jobs.

Not every route is documented

Case Tables also has a Table Operations page that is still under development, and internal Configuration/Debug routes. They are not part of this user guide.
