Health and metrics¶
DMS exposes health, version, and metrics endpoints for monitoring.
Endpoints¶
| Endpoint | Use it for |
|---|---|
/health |
Service and dependency health |
/version |
Running application version |
/metrics |
Prometheus metrics |
The running version comes from a generated version.txt, which is produced at
build time. Do not assume the version in pyproject.toml is the deployed version.
Health checks¶
Use /health from your load balancer or monitoring system. Check the database,
Redis, storage, and worker indicators in Administration → System status for a
human-readable view.
Metrics¶
Prometheus metrics can cover requests, latency, errors, and background jobs. Protect the metrics endpoint with a token or network policy; do not expose it publicly.
Troubleshooting¶
- If
/healthfails, check the database, Redis, and storage first. - If the version is unexpected, confirm the deployed image tag.
- If metrics are missing, check the metrics token and the gateway.
