Document panel¶
The document panel is the side panel that opens when you select a document. It groups the document's information, its metadata, and its history.
Sections¶
| Section | What it contains |
|---|---|
| General | Document number, title, description, repository, group, type, status, creation and update dates |
| Observations | Free-text notes recorded on the document |
| Draft | The upload step still pending, when the document is a draft |
| Metadata | The fields defined for the document type, including the confidential and hidden ones you are allowed to see |
| Versions | Version history, with author, date, notes, and size |
| Notes | Comments and participants |
| Log | The document's own activity log |
| Related | Related documents and the expediente view |
Which sections appear depends on the document's status and on your permissions: a draft has no version history, a deleted document has no actions, and confidential metadata stays hidden without its own permission.
Status¶
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Draft | Uploaded but not completed; it is finished through the upload wizard |
| Active | Searchable and available for versions, notes, and exports |
| Archived | Kept but out of the working lists |
| Locked | Protected against edits |
| Deleted | Soft-deleted; it lives in Deleted until purged |
Open a document¶
- Find it in Documents, a document list, the Explorer, or a search result.
- Select it; the panel opens with General.
- Use the sections to review or change the document.
Selecting a row in a list opens the same panel, so the list stays in place behind it.
